New York, New York- Members of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons, www.plasticsurgeryny.org, gathered on May 4, 2013 to discuss controversies and solutions in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine at the New York Academy of Medicine. Hosted by the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons, the program consisted of highly educational presentations by leaders in plastic surgery that traveled from across the U.S. to deliver the latest information about clinical applications, new technology and enhanced techniques for improved results in plastic surgery.
As Dr. David L. Abramson, President of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons explains, “As more plastic surgeons have become interested in refining their techniques for enhanced outcomes through Regenerative Medicine, this educational meeting is just another example of our commitment to promote education and research in the field of plastic surgery, while enhancing patient care.”
Regenerative Medicine is a new topic in plastic surgery that has the potential to benefit thousands of patients interested in cosmetic surgery, particularly those in need of plastic reconstructive surgery. Program highlights included advanced fat grafting techniques for those in need of breast reconstruction and/or stomach reconstruction. Over 75 board certified plastic surgeons in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut who are members of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) participated in the educational program.
