Med Spa

Consultations offered at our three convenient locations in New Jersey, Bergen County and Englewood, NJ

As you age, your body begins producing less collagen and elastin. These are the protein molecules that give skin structure and elasticity, which gives you a youthful and bright appearance. Your skin itself can also begin to show signs of aging.

While you cannot stop the aging process, there are noninvasive and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures that can help promote your body’s production of collagen or resurface your skin, so you naturally begin looking younger and more energetic. If you want some cosmetic help, but aren’t ready for plastic surgery, talk to us about visiting our Med Spa in New York.

What Is a Med Spa?

Our Med Spa offers cosmetic procedures in a day spa environment under the supervision of Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Abramson. Med Spas in New York that are under the supervision of a plastic surgeon offer the best direction to make the most of your cosmetic journey.

While noninvasive cosmetic procedures have advanced over the years and offer more skin rejuvenation options, it may be difficult to know what procedures are right for your skin type and will take your results the furthest.

What Procedures Are Available at Our Med Spa?

Dr. Abramson can help you choose the right treatments to enhance your appearance and improve your quality of life. Our Med Spa can service many types of New York City patients who want a quick touch-up, a more substantial rejuvenation, or are testing short-term results with the possibility of a full plastic surgery procedure down the road.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are used to remove some of the shallow imperfections that appear along the skin surface, like dark spots, acne scars, and fine lines. A chemical solution is applied to the skin, which removes the top layers, so that when the skin grows back it is smoother and brighter.

Three layers of chemical peels can be used. The one that Dr. Abramson uses will be based on your skin type and what you are looking to achieve. Chemical peels can be used in combination with other cosmetic procedures, and they can come in light, medium, or deep forms.

Microdermabrasion

This is a common cosmetic minimally invasive resurfacing procedure that helps to even out the skin tone and texture, and remove photo-aging and acne scar damage. Our Diamond-tipped microdermabrasion device helps exfoliate the epidermis and suction off the debris while stimulating collagen production to result in a smooth and healthy complexion.

Injectables

We offer numerous injectables treatments to address skin concerns, with dermal fillers being among the most common. There are multiple benefits to using dermal fillers, including delivering a natural-looking result that increases facial volume and can accentuate your cheekbones and jawline, and plump your lips. JUVÉDERM, Restylane, and Radiesse are some of the most popular fillers we offer and we can take the time to explain the benefits of each one.

Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators are among the most common cosmetic treatments offered in Med Spa offices. You may know these by the common brand name Botox. Neuromodulators inhibit muscles responsible for facial expressions. There are two types of wrinkles – dynamic and static.

Dynamic wrinkles are caused by habitual facial expressions, such as smiling or frowning. Neuromodulators, like Botox, Daxxify, Dysport, and Jeauveau, block chemical signals from the nerves to the muscles. This causes the facial muscles to relax and reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles.
