About Chest Liposuction
Liposuction can be used alongside a cosmetic breast surgery or by itself to contour the chest and return a natural, young appearance. This surgery may be sought by men and women to accomplish a less prominent profile.
Before and After Photos
Chest Liposuction for Women
Liposuction may be used to reduce fat stores in the chest during cosmetic surgery such as breast reduction and lifts. Plastic surgeons often use this technique to maximize end results. This fat can be reused and injected into another area of the body or disposed of.
Chest Liposuction for Men
Liposuction is commonly used to help men regain a more masculine figure. Many of the men interested in chest liposuction have a hormone disbalance called gynecomastia. Gynecomastia can develop at any point in a man’s life but often occurs during life changes, such as puberty or later on in life when the metabolism slows down and hormones shift.
When a man has too much estrogen, a common development is the swelling of breast tissue. The amount of swelling will differ from man to man.
Male breast reductions are growing in popularity as cosmetic procedures become more mainstream.
However, some men will develop unpleasant symptoms like discharge and breast tenderness. Men with breasts are often self-conscious of their chest and seek out treatment. We want you to feel your best and will work with you to develop your ideal treatment plan. There are many gynecomastia treatments today to research and look at. Liposuction provides an immediate solution that will have you out and looking your best in no time! Gynecomastia causes insecurity in many men. If you are bothered by your chest don’t let it hold you back from living your best life.
Types of Liposuction
There are many different types of liposuction today. Through our research, we have found the tumescent method provides the most attractive, safest results.
Tumescent Fluid
Dr. Abramson prefers to eliminate fat from the chest using tumescent fluid liposuction.
Tumescent fluid is a saline solution that is administered to the chest before surgery. Tumescent fluid contains a customized amount of lidocaine and epinephrine. The fluid will swell the treatment area and make the fat cells more accessible. The epinephrine will help constrict blood vessels, reducing post-procedure bruising and swelling. Research has shown that tumescent fluid will decrease surgery time and help a recovery be quicker and more comfortable.
Dr. Abramson performs tumescent liposuction with precision and care. He will gently dislodge your fat and shape the area to achieve your preferred chest contours.
Benefits
The primary advantage of liposuction is that it produces immediate results. Liposuction will remove stubborn fat stored just beneath the skin. This fat is called subcutaneous fat and can be very difficult to remove. Liposuction offers a simple solution to removing this fat and helping your chest look toned and attractive.

Personal Consultation
In your private meeting with Dr. Abramson, you will have the opportunity to get his professional opinions and thoughts on chest liposuction. He will examine your chest and ask about your health, past procedures, medications, and allergies to ensure lipo surgery is a healthy option for you. An alternative treatment plan may be created so your safest procedure takes place.
If chest liposuction is pursued, an appointment will be scheduled and Dr. Abramson will instruct you how to prepare for surgery and recovery.
Preparation
Certain steps should be taken to make your surgery and recovery period go smoothly. Follow Dr. Abramson’s instructions for your best results!
Fill prescriptions and pick them up with plenty of time before surgery. You will need to arrange for rides to and from the appointment and schedule a couple of days off from work. Dr. Abramson will help you determine an adequate at-home recovery period.
Pick an area of your home where you can rest peacefully and not be bothered. The night before your surgery you will need to fast and get a good night’s rest. Dress in comfy clothes on the morning of your appointment and arrive a few minutes early so you can be relaxed.
Procedure
Either a general anesthetic or intravenous sedation will be administered. Once you are resting peacefully, Dr. Abramson will begin the treatment. Miniscule incisions will be made and the bothersome chest fat removed. Once he has masterfully sculpted your chest, the incisions will be closed and bandages applied.
Recovery
After treatment, your chest will be swollen and sensitive. A compression garment will help keep the swelling down and help your chest adjust to its new shape. Any discomfort can be managed with pain medication. Dr. Abramson will inform you of what your recovery will look like and may schedule a follow-up appointment with you to monitor your recovery.
Most patients can return to work after a few days. Strenuous activities can often be returned to after a few weeks.
Results
You will notice an improvement in your chest immediately after surgery! These results will only get better with the passing of time. Maintain a healthy life and consistent weight for impressive results. Your newly sculpted chest should last you years!
